Special speaker: The Crosby church of Christ, 134 Crosby Road in Searcy, will host speaker John L. Fundraiser dance: An All-American Dance featuring Midnight Express will be held Thursday at the Lightle Center, 2200 E. Moore Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner begins at 6 p.m. and band starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

Bake sale: A bake sale will be held Saturday at Walmart in Searcy to benefit the historical New Hart Cemetery at Rose Bud. Proceeds go toward maintenance and care of the cemetery.

Auditions: Center on the Square will hold auditions for "Our Town" on Saturday at 10 a.m., July 23 at 2 p.m., and July 24 at 7 p.m. No preparation necessary. Roles for both males and females. For more information, call (501) 368-0111.

Celebration: Russell Baptist Church will celebrate its 139th anniversary and Homecoming on Saturday with Sunday school at 10 a.m., preaching by former Pastor Jerry Hagar at 11 a.m. and a noon meal following. The Velvet Ridge Singers will perform at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome.
